Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception is used to prevent pregnancy occurring after unprotected sex has taken place, for example when usual contraception has failed or has not been used.

Emergency hormonal contraception (the morning after pill) should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex and is available, free of charge, from most Community Pharmacies, including Torphins Pharmacy.

If you would like a totally confidential consultation with one of our Pharmacists please call in to the pharmacy as soon as you can - there is no need to make an appointment.
